The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) was founded in 1943 and is the largest small business association in the United States. NFIB is a non-profit that advocates on behalf of America’s small business owners and simultaneously monitors the financial health of its members through surveys. The most widely followed survey concerns small business optimism which is measured on an index with 100 being the baseline; anything over 100 is optimistic and anything below 100 is pessimistic.

After stagnating for much of the past year following its 2018 all-time highs, small business optimism posted the largest monthly gain in 19 months, rising 2.3 points to 104.6 in November which beat the consensus of 103.0. Business owners are reporting increased profits, a desire to expand operations, and (most importantly to us at Grow Michigan) hire additional workers.

If you have optimistic business owners with financing needs, we can help.
